Will you do your part to influence the change?   Stan Johnson (ACCA Austin Chapter), incoming ACCA National Chairman says “he chooses to make things happen instead of simply allowing them to happen”.   Stan says “times are tough, and it isn’t the first time”.  Stan turns back the clock to the mid 1980’s when the news headlines read the same then, as today. 

Stan informs the crowd in Ft Worth ”legislation will be passed that will affect contractors across the country.  We (HVAC Contractors) need a place at the table” and Stan pledges, “We will have a place at the table when discussion begins, because of the hard work done by former ACCA leadership groups”.  “The work will be hard and I will need everyone’s help to get the job done”.    

The question is, what part will you play in the discussion and decisions being made that influence your business and lively hood?  Stan pledges the National Leadership will listen to members.  Are you a member?  The hard times are all the more reason to invest in an ACCA Membership now.  If you are a member of Austin ACCA this is the time to exercise your membership and let your voice be heard.  This is not the time to pull back.  We need rather, to pull together.  Please take the time to think about your part in the future of our industry.  For more information on joining Austin ACCA or renewing a membership contact austinacca09@austin.rr.com or call 512-897-8290.
